things I do for work...

I manage a vintage clothing store in Philadelphia, so a large part of my day is mending clothes.Quite a bit of the time, it's simple things like fixing seams and sewing hems. However, sometimes, things are s bit more ddifficult (ok, the more difficult repairs get saved for me). Case in point, the latest one (which is taking precedence over some other repairs)
fixing holes in lovely wool plus-fours (a.k.a. knickets) from the 1920s.pretty considerable holes.
First hole mended.I was not taught how to re-weave. I just made it up as I went along. Granted,I have a degree in textile design, so have good knowledge of weave structures.  Time consuming, but well worth the rescue.
2nd set of holes (a binary) in progress. (done before I left work for the night.... many more to go)
